Ashton Market Hall is home to more than 70 fantastic independent traders, offering a wide range of goods and services.

The Market Hall sits within the heart of Ashton Town Centre, opening six days a week Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm. With its broad offer of food and non-food retailers, the Market is popular with shoppers of all ages, welcoming on average 50,000 visitors per week.

The Market Hall provides a vast hot food & drink offering. This includes, Cypriot, Filipino, Caribbean, Indian, Italian cuisine, traditional Market Cafés, Smoothies & Milk Shakes, fresh hot pies, pizza, sandwiches and more.

Our fresh food retailers are renowned for their award winning produce, from Meat & Game, Fish, Traditional & Artisan Cheeses, Fruit & Vegetables, Eggs, Pies & Pastry’s, Tripe, Black Pudding, Bread, and dry goods.

The Market Hall has a communal food court seating area which sits up to 80 visitors at any one time, free customer Wi-Fi, and is home to the Tameside Wellbeing Corner,  The Markets Gallery, and regular events such as the Kids Cookery Club ,  and the Real Deal Records Fair

During the redevelopment works, the Outdoor Market has relocated to Fletcher Square. In Fletcher Square you will find the newly positioned Market Kiosks and on a Tuesday the popular fixed mixed market, with Saturday being home to the tradition general market.

A monthly Artisan Market delivered by The Little Owl Artisan Markets will take place in Fletcher Square on the third Saturday of the month between March and December.
